The first week of August, hard to believe. Photo credit to my Mom for this month’s “Klouty” picture. Sun, klouds, water???? C’mon. It’s only right. Happy Early Birthday Ma!
No matter where you are in the world, drink a little water and turn the music up. Blessings.

Roots - Kindness
I heard a story recently of how an extremely successful businessman was able to raise great kids in spite of his immense wealth. So grateful for the compliment, he didn’t claim to have an answer. However, he recalled asking his kids the same 4 questions every single night, without fail:
“-What was the best part of your day?
-What was the worst part of your day?
-What is something kind someone did for you?
-What is something kind you did for someone?”
The ability to recognize the highs and lows of your day, and still close your eyes ready for a fresh start is powerful.
As a result of the latter 2 questions, the businessman’s kids looked all day for evidence of people being kind to them, along with opportunities for them to be kind to the world.
To move forward through the ups and downs in kindness cannot be undervalued. On a daily basis, this compounds into a life of gratitude.

KLOUTY SPOTLIGHT
You
This week’s newsletter is dedicated to the people who have done nothing but support the beginning couple of months of Klouty Perspective. Across the board. I initially started this as a weekly commitment to myself as a passion project, something I would enjoy creating for me that has nothing to do with money or competition.
And yet, more wealth has come through this newsletter than I could have imagined. Books, people sharing with friends and family, ideas for future editions, personal experiences, curiosity, and love. It has only brought me to further understand the only competition for what we want is time, and ourselves.
Often you’ll find the person who is most critical of you.. is you. That’s ok, keep it that way. Just don’t neglect the much-deserved 5-star reviews. Go with your gut. Fail. Get up. Fail. Get up. Again.
Keep going. Adapt. Don’t ridicule your former self, credit them. Think of how proud they would be to see you handle things you never thought you could. And just when you think you’ve got it figured out, keep going, patiently. In life, winning is subjective. Success is for you to define and enjoy. You come to realize the only way to repay those that believe in you is to continue to be YOU, to the fullest.
If I was to persuade you of any one decision within your success.. share the fruits. Be proud of yourself. Include others with a smile. It all comes and goes around.
